ここは考える家、探す家。

「TANKE」は、スウェーデン語で「思想／考え」を意味し、
漢字では「探家」と書きます。

 

2003年、茶の心を伝える「Peacefulness through a cup of TEA」を理念に掲げ、最初のプロジェクト「茶舗 TE HANDEL」が始まりました。

2015年春には、「100年先に続く家」をコンセプトとした、土と木の息づかいを感じる建築「a house for oiso」が完成し、この地に根ざした文化と芸術の芽を育てて参りました。

 

そして2025年秋、新たに名称を「TANKE home&gallery」と改め、これまでのアート企画に加え、本を手がかりに人文学を広く自由に学ぶ、リベラルアーツの場として、思索と表現を横断的に探求して参ります。

TANKE home & gallery
– a house for thinking and seeking.

“TANKE” means “thought” in Swedish, and can also be written in Japanese as 「探家」, “house of exploration.”

In 2003, we launched our first project, TE HANDEL, guided by the spirit of tea and the motto “Peacefulness through a cup of TEA.”

In the autumn of 2025, we will begin anew as TANKE home & gallery.

In addition to art projects, it will become a place for liberal arts, exploring the humanities through books and crossing the fields of reflection and expression.
